Security Cameras
- Briefing given by Kevin
- Belong's motivation: spare funding brought opportunity for greater safety (Liz)
- Are the cameras a response to Misha's car break-in? (Sharai)
- Cameras as sound-capable (Kevin)
- TSS is a safe space for activists and surveillance compromises this safety (Sharai)
- Not concerned about break-ins but concerned about being part of criminal justice system that they are not aligned with (Ru)
- Cameras will compromise the trust with patrons - who often engage in sensitive conversations. (Ru)
- Have had no destructive behaviour from public despite ample opportuities - security measure are entire pre-emptive (Liz)
- Community network that we have built creates its own security (Ru)
- Cameras signal distrust (Liz)
- Concerned that police may have access to the footage (Sharai)
- Group is very comfortable with people sleeping on the grounds.
- Cameras will compromise:

- General agreement that we don't escalate at this point if the discussion with Belong

Cafe Closure (Break)
- Volunteers need a rest (Liz)
- Proposed closure: from Wed 14th July; reopening Wed 4th August
Procedures:

- Kevin will take lead and will invite contributions for each section
Coffee workshops:
- Sharai, Ru, Kevin to take the lead
- Action: Leads will develop a format
Use of kitchen funds:
- There are many ways of deflecting activist fines - no need to use funds from kitchen (Sharai)
- The money should be available if volunteers need it (Liz) - unanimous agreement.
- Misha's repair of car after break-in after TSS - $300 will be taken from fund (Liz) - unanimous agreement.
- Volunteers need to take from the space - not only give - this is the basis of forming a community (Sharai)

- Robbie is donating his services as a painter for the building
